KitchenAid Dishwasher Detergent Dispenser Replacement W11412300

This video provides step-by-step repair instructions for replacing the detergent dispenser on a KitchenAid dishwasher. The most common reason for replacing this part is if it is not dispensing properly. All of the information for this replacement video is applicable to the following brands: Kenmore, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Ikea, Amana, Jenn Air, Maytag

Dishwasher

Dishwasher not cleaning

Dispense detergent effectively with this detergent dispenser, part number W11412300, made for select Maytag, Whirlpool, Admiral, Jenn Air, or KitchenAid Dishwashers.

A broken detergent dispenser that will not open during the wash cycle to release the detergent will prevent the dishwasher from cleaning properly. Inspect the detergent dispenser for any damage or malfunction and replace the component if necessary.

Dishwasher leaking

A dishwasher detergent dispenser releases detergent into the tank during the wash cycle. Some dispensers with a rotating cover, or a latch, have an O-ring or seal that can wear out and allow water to leak inbetween the door panels and onto the floor near the bottom of the door.

Dishwasher dispenser not dispensing soap

If a dispenser part is broken and you don’t want to disassemble the detergent dispenser to replace the part, you can replace the entire dispenser.
