Washer won't spin

Ensure secure closure with this genuine OEM door strike, part number WH01X32580, designed for select GE or GE Profile Washing Machine or Washer/Dryer Combo models.

As a safety precaution, the washer will not go into spin mode unless the door or lid is secure. A broken door strike will prevent the door or lid from properly closing and locking causing the washer not to spin. Inspect the door strike assembly for damage. If the door strike is broken, replace it. The door strike is not repairable—if it is broken, you must replace it.

The washing machine door or lid will need to be closed for the washer to go into the spin cycle. If the door or lid strike is broken, it won't be able to engage with the lock or latch assembly and won't signal the appliance that the door or lid is fully closed. Inspect the strike for damage and replace if necessary.
