Dryer drum drive belt. This belt is approximately 1/4" wide x 92-1/4" long. It is flat on one side and has 4 ribs and 3 grooves on the other. It replaces many other belts, including some with 5 ribs and 4 grooves. The belt attaches to the motor pulley and spins the drum as the motor rotates

Dryer drum not turning

Rotate drums with this genuine OEM drum assembly, part number DC97-17966C, made for select Samsung Dryer.

If the drum does not turn even though the belt is intact and the drive motor is functioning, it’s possible the drum itself is damaged and unable to rotate properly on the rollers or glides. Inspect the drum assembly for cracks or dents and replace it necessary.

Dryer damaging clothes

As the drum assembly rotates, the clothing could be catching on a damaged section of the drum resulting in tears or holes in the clothing. Inspect the inside of the drum with a flashlight and run a cloth across the surface to see if it catches on anything. If the drum assembly is damaged or has cracks, it should be replaced.
