Range vent hood fan or blower not working

Ensure that the fan blade turns freely. If the fan does not turn freely, check to see if the fan blade is rubbing against the blower housing. Inspect the fan blade for damage. If the fan blade is damaged, replace it.

Range vent hood motor is loud or noisy

The fan blade might be worn out and loose on the motor shaft causing it scrape on the fan housing. Check to make sure the blade is tight on the motor shaft and has not slipped on the shaft causing it to contact the fan housing. If the fan blade is loose on the motor shaft it should be replaced. 

Range vent hood doesn't vent to the outside

Check to see if the fan blade is still tightly fastened to the motor shaft. If the blade is loose, try to tighten it. If the blade cannot be properly tightened, replace it.

Bathroom fan not working

First, inspect the fan blade for damage. If the fan blade is damaged, replace it. If the fan blade does not appear to be damaged, try turning the fan blade by hand. If the fan blade does not turn freely, check for obstructions. If any obstructions are present, remove them. If the fan blade does not turn freely, and no obstructions are present, the fan motor might be defective.

Bath fan motor is loud or noisy 

Bath fan doesn't vent to the outside 

Make sure that the fan blade is tightly fastened to the motor shaft. If the fan blade is not fastened properly, try to tighten it. If the tightening the fan blade isn’t effective, replace the blade.

Range vent hood is overheating

If the fan blade is clogged with debris the air flow will be restricted which can cause the range vent hood to overheat. You can try cleaning the fan blade with dish soap and warm water. If the fan blade cannot be cleaned or is damaged, it will need to be replaced.

Range vent hood turns off by itself

If the fan blade is clogged with debris the air flow will be restricted which can cause the blower motor to overheat and turn off on it's own. You can try cleaning the fan blade with dish soap and warm water. If the fan blade cannot be cleaned or is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
