Water heater not heating

Regain consistent heat in your Broan, Nutone, or Honeywell Water Heater, Bath Fan, or Unit Heater with this genuine OEM heating element, part number S98004514.

To determine if the heating element is defective, use a multimeter test it for continuity. If the heating element does not have continuity, replace it.

Water heater too hot

If the heating element is shorted out, it will heat continuously, causing the water to get too hot. To determine if the heating element is shorted out, use a multimeter to test if the element is shorted to ground. If heating element is shorted out, replace it.

Bath fan heater not working

To determine if the heating element is burned out, use a multimeter to test the element for continuity. If the heating element does not have continuity, replace it. The heating element is not repairable—if the element is defective, replace it.
