Dryer steam function not working

The dryer's water inlet valve provides the water necessary for the steam function to work. If there is no mist coming from the nozzle when the valve is energized, it's likely the inlet valve is defective. You can use a multimeter to test the valve for electrical continuity. If the valve tests negative for continuity, you'll know the part has failed and will need to be replaced.

A water leak that is coming from inside the dryer cabinet is likely caused by a damaged water inlet valve. Inspect the valve for any cracks in the housing and confirm the valve hoses are secured firmly to the valve and are in good condition. If the inlet valve's housing is cracked or damaged, the component should be replaced with a new one.
