Shop replacement repair parts for Whirlpool Dryer model GEW9878PW1

The Dryer Repair & Maintenance Kit 4392065 includes rollers, a belt, and an idler pulley. It is specifically designed for 29 wide dryers built in 1965 or later. This kit addresses common issues that cause Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, and KitchenAid dryers to become noisy.

Dryer drum drive belt. This belt is approximately 1/4" wide x 92-1/4" long. It is flat on one side and has 4 ribs and 3 grooves on the other. It replaces many other belts, including some with 5 ribs and 4 grooves. The belt attaches to the motor pulley and spins the drum as the motor rotates

Dryer door switch assembly. If the dryer does not start then the door switch could be defective. This switch also replaces the two wire switch.

Dryer thermistor. This thermistor should read approximately 11.9K Ohms of resistance at 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21’ Celsius). If the thermistor is defective, it may prolong or shorten the drying time or cause a fault code. A defective thermistor is not responsible for a dryer not heating.

Whirlpool's replacement thermostat kit includes a thermal cut-off fuse, high-limit thermostat, and electrical connection hardware to ensure your clothes are perfectly dry. Keep up with laundry by installing this genuine Whirlpool replacement part.

Dryer thermal fuse (or thermal limiter). This fuse is located on the exhaust duct. If the dryer overheats, the thermal fuse opens to cut off power to the dryer. The thermal fuse cannot be reset--if the thermal fuse is open, it must be replaced.
