Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the primer bulb on your string trimmer and pruner first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Remove the screws securing the top cover and pull the cover off.

Note the orientation of the tubes on the primer bulb ports then pull the tubes off

Use pliers to depress the tabs on the primer bulb, and pull the old part out.

Install the new primer bulb by snapping it into the filter housing.

Attach the tubes to the appropriate ports.

It’s important to keep the tubes properly oriented.

Realign the top cover and replace the screws to secure.

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your string trimmer and pruner should be ready for use.
