Step By Step Instructions

Before you install the tune-up kit on your string trimmer, first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Now, rotate the knob to release the filter cover and pull the old air filter out.

Install the new air filter by positioning it in the cover, realign the cover, and rotate the knob to secure.

Next, unthread the gas cap and pull the retainer out of the tank.

Now, use a wire with a hook to pull out the fuel line and filter.

Slide off the retaining ring and pull off the old filter from the line.

Install the new fuel filter by pushing it into place on the fuel line.

Secure the filter with the retaining ring and gently reinsert the fuel line and filter back into the tank, making sure there are no restrictions in the line.

Insert the gas cap retainer into the tank, then thread the cap on and tighten.

Next, use a socket or a spark plug wrench to help remove the old spark plug.

Install the new spark plug by threading it into the cylinder head.

Be careful not to over tighten.
