Step By Step Instructions

As with most repairs, you should shut off the power to the appliance before you begin.

To replace the fan switch or light switch in your range vent hood first push in on the tabs to release the right light cover.
3
Now unthread the light bulb.

Use a quarter inch socket to remove the screw securing the control cover.

Pull the cover off.

Note the orientation of the wires connected to the switch you’re replacing – then disconnect them.

Now depress the tabs the release the old switch from the control panel.

Install the new switch by aligning it on the control panel and snapping it into place.
9
Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the new switch.

Realign the control cover and replace the screw to secure.

Rethread the light bulb.

Replace the light cover by inserting the tabs into the slots on the fan housing.

With the repair completed, restore power to the range vent hood and confirm that the new switch works properly.
