Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the trail shield on your lawn mower remove the grass bag if applicable.

Use pliers to secure the end of the trail shield shaft and a hack saw to cut off the crimped end of the shaft.

Use needle-nose pliers to pull off the retainer clip.

You can now slide out the shaft and remove the old shield.

Install the new trail shield by positioning it within the frame then insert the shaft through the right side to hold the shield in place. Push the retainer clip onto the end of the shaft to secure.
