Determine if the water and power supply lines provide enough slack to move the dishwasher part way out of the cabinet.
10
If not, you will need to fully uninstall the appliance.
11
To do this, first shut off the water supply valve.
12
Now unthread the top screw securing the terminal box cover.
13
Slide the cover to the right to remove.
14
Note the orientation of the wiring wires…then untwist the wire nuts to disconnect the power wires…

To move the dishwasher, you may need to adjust the legs to lower the appliance.

Now gently pull the dishwasher part way out of the cabinet.
26
Use the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread all of the screws holding the inner and outer door panels together.
27
Remove the outer door panel.
28
Detach both door springs from the hinges.
29
Now detach both hinges from the hinge bracket.
30
Next, unthread the mounting screws securing the hinge bracket assembly to both the left and right sides of the inner door panel.
32
Cut the zip tie securing the wires…
33
…and unthread the screw securing the grounding wire.
34
Now use an awl and a flat-head screwdriver to pry the retainers off of the bracket pins.
35
Slide out the pins and you can remove the old assembly.
36
Before you install the new hinge bracket assembly…
37
…apply some grease to the mounting plate contact points.
38
Align the new bracket assembly…
40
You can use a 5/16th inch socket to secure the retainers.
41
Secure the grounding wire to the right hinge bracket with the screw.
42
Rotate the assembly up and use a zip tie to secure the wires to the bracket assembly rod.
43
Replace the mounting screws to secure the new assembly to the inner door panel.
44
Hook the hinges onto the hinge bracket.
45
Reattach the door springs to the hinges.

48
Replace all of the screws to secure the inner and outer door panels.

57
…and connect it to the sink drain or disposer.
58
Make sure the hose is elevated above the connection point.
59
Fully position the wires and strain relief in the terminal box…
60
…then thread and tighten the strain relief nut.
61
Join the power wires together and secure them with the wire nuts – black wire to black white – white wire to white wire.
62
Join the grounding wires together as well or secure the grounding wire under the screw.
63
With the wires positioned inside the terminal box, realign the cover…
64
…and rethread the screw to secure.
