5

6
…be sure to unplug the power cord…
7
…and shut off the gas supply.
8
Carefully lift off all three grates.
9
Remove all five burner caps…
10
…and burner bases.
11
Remove all of the control knobs.
12
You can use string or wire to help pull them off of the valve stems.
13
Now use a t-20 torx bit to unthread all of the screws securing the orifice holders to the main top.
14
With the screws unthreaded, you can lift off the top.
15
Lift the seal off of the center valve stem.
16
Next, detach the spark switch.
17
Use a 9/16th inch wrench to unthread the nut securing the center main gas supply tubing to the valve.
18
Use a half-inch wrench to unthread the nut securing the simmer gas supply tubing to the valve.
19
Now use a 7mm socket or nut driver to loosen the screw to release the valve bracket from the manifold.
20
You can now detach the old gas valve.
21
Prepare the new gas valve for installation…
22
…by transferring the bracket mounting screw from the old valve to the new one.
23
Align the valve on the manifold…position the valve bracket…
24
…and tighten the screw to secure – be careful not to over-tighten the screw.
25
Attach the gas supply tubing to the valve and tighten the nuts to secure.
26
Snap on the spark switch.
27
Be aware – if your cooktop uses liquid propane…
28
…you should rotate both the main and simmer adjustment screws clockwise as far as they will go to achieve a proper flame height.
29
With the screws tightened, slide the seal over the valve stem.
30
Realign the main top on the base so the spark electrodes protrude through the holes in the top.
31
Confirm that the orifice holders are aligned…then thread and tighten the screws to secure the holders to the main top.
32
Replace the control knobs by aligning them on the valve stems and pushing them into place.
33
Align each burner base with the appropriate orifice holder so the igniter electrode protrudes through the hole in the base.
34
Next, position the burner caps on the bases.
35
Align the three burner grates on the support brackets and gently lower them.
36
With the repair completed…
37
…turn the gas supply back on…
38
…plug the power cord back in…
39
…and your gas cooktop should be ready for use.
