Step By Step Instructions

To replace your washer's agitator, first remove the fabric softener dispenser and lint cap (if applicable to your model).
2
Then, use a 7/16 inch socket with a 12 inch extension to loosen the mounting bolt.
3
With the bolt loosened, pull the old agitator up and out.
4
Install the new agitator by first inserting the mounting bolt.

Now, slide the new agitator onto the drive shaft and tighten the bolt to secure.
6
Replace the lint cap (if necessary) and the fabric softener dispenser.
7
With the new agitator installed, make sure all tub components are functioning properly during the wash cycle.
