Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

Your first step is to remove the screws at the rear of the main top.

Now slide the main top back approximately one inch, then lift up to remove.

Next, pull the inlet hoses free from the slots on the old steam generator.

Note the orientation of all sensor and heating element wires, then disconnect them from the generator.

Remove the screws securing the generator to the crossbar, as well as the screws securing the grounding wire.

Your next step is to remove the screws securing the crossbar so you can easily release the generator from the frame.

Now use pliers to loosen the clamps securing the hoses.

Pull the hoses off and remove the old generator.

Install the new steam generator by first attaching the hoses and securing the clamps.

Insert the tabs on the generator into the slots in the frame and align the tab on the opposite end of the generator with the crossbar.

Replace the screws to secure the crossbar.

Reinstall the screw to secure the new grounding wire, as well as the screws to secure the generator itself.

Connect all sensor and heating element wires.

Position the inlet hoses in the provided slots on the generator.

With the new generator installed, align the main top and slide it forward into place.

Secure the screws at the rear.

You're now ready to plug the appliance back in to make sure it's functioning properly.
