Refrigerator Primary Water Inlet Valve Replacement

unplug the power cord

shut off the water supply as well

open the freezer drawer and pull the base grille forward to remove
9
use a quarter-inch socket or nut driver to rotate the brake feet counter-clockwise to raise them

you can now roll the appliance forward

use a half-inch wrench or an adjustable wrench to unthread the compression nut to detach the water supply line from the valve
13
unthread the two mounting screws securing the inlet valve bracket to the frame
14
disconnect the wire connecter

use a half-inch wrench to depress the retaining ring to release the outlet line from the old valve
16
insert the outlet line into the new valve port until it's fully seated
17
connect the wire connecter to the solenoid terminals
18
align the bracket on the frame and thread the screws to secure
19
attach the water supply line to the valve by threading the compression nut but avoid overtightening the nut
20
reinstall the access panel

lower the front leveling legs until they are in contact with the floor

replace the base grille with the leveling assemblies then snap the grille into place
