Laundry Center Dryer Door Switch Replacement

"Step 1: Gather a number two square drive bit or a phillips-head screwdriver, and needle-nose pliers. "

Step 2: Unplug the power cord.

"Step 3: For easier acces to the door switch, uninstall the control panel by using the number two square drive bit or the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the two screws securing the dryer's lower access panel."

Step 4: Pull the panel up to remove.

Step 5: Unthread the two mounting screws securing the control panel.

Step 6: Pull the panel down to detach.

Step 7: Release the wires from the retaining clip and set the panel on a towel or blanket.

Step 8: Disconnect the door switch wire connecter.

Step 9: Open the dryer door then depress the tabs to release the old switch from the front panel.

Step 10: Use the needle-nose pliers to detach the wires drom the switch terminals to fully remove.

Step 11: Attach the dryer door switch wires to the terminals.

"Step 12: Keeping the activator button on the right, snap the new switch into place in the front panel. "

Step 13: Connect the wire connecter.

Step 14: Secure the control panel wires in the retaining clip then reposition the panel.

Step 15: Replace the mounting screws.
