Step By Step Instructions

Because the drive belt may be slightly smaller than the drive pulley on most ge top-load washers you can use a belt install tool to make belt replacement easier.

To use the tool, first align the two halves of the tool together and roll the “o”-ring into the groove to secure.

Zip-tie the new belt to the right side of the pulley with the flat side facing outward.

Now stretch the belt install tool and slide it onto the motor shaft until it snaps into place in the first groove.

Loop the belt onto the motor shaft and rotate the drive pulley counter- clockwise to help fully align the belt.

With the new belt installed, you can now remove the zip-tie and the install tool.
