1
To replace the inner door wire harness in this kitchenaid dishwasher, you will need a t-15 torx bit.
2
Before you begin the procedure, turn off the power to the dishwasher.
3
Open the dishwasher door, and use the t-15 torx bit to unthread the eight side screws and the top right screw holding the inner and outer door panels together.
4
Unthread the top right door latch screw last.
5
With the screws unthreaded, you can lift the outer door panel up to detach.
6
Disconnect the user interface wire connecter and detach the wire retainer so you can set the outer door panel aside.
7
Disconnect the inner door wire harness connecters from the door latch, vent assembly, and detergent dispenser.
8
Release the wires from the main control board retaining hook, then open the bottom wire connecter cover.
9
You can now disconnect the inner door wire harness connecter from the main control board to fully remove the old component.
10
To install the new inner door wire harness, first connect the large wire connecter to the main control board terminal and close the cover.
11
Secure the wires in the retaining hook.
12
Now connect the remaining wire harness connecters to the detergent dispenser, vent assembly, and door latch.
13
Reinstall the outer door panel by first connecting the user interface wire connecter and securing the wire retainer.
14
Make sure the console seal is in place, then slide the side edges of the outer panel behind the retaining brackets, then lift the panel up to join it with the inner door panel.
15
Rethread the screws to secure.
16
The top right door latch screw should be threaded first.
17
That screw and the two upper side screws are longer than the six remaining side screws.
18
With all the screws secured, turn the power supply back on, and the dishwasher should be ready for use.
