Electrolux Oven shuts off on its own

An Electrolux oven that turns off by itself may have a failing touchpad, especially if some buttons respond intermittently or not at all. A defective touchpad can make the oven shut off while baking or cause the oven to keep turning off during use. Next, check the thermal fuse. If the oven overheated, this fuse may have opened to cut power. Test it for continuity with a multimeter. A blown thermal fuse cannot be reset and must be replaced, although this is less common. If only some buttons work, the touchpad and control panel may be faulty; if none respond, the oven control board is more likely the problem. Also check for an incoming power issue, such as a tripped circuit breaker. If wiring connections are loose or burnt, or a relay on the control board or main control board is failing, the board may shut the oven off unexpectedly. If the oven gets too hot, the thermal fuse trips to shut off power to the oven. If the thermal fuse has blown, the oven will not heat. However, this is not a common occurrence. To determine if the thermal fuse is at fault, use a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the thermal fuse does not have continuity, replace it.
