Electrolux Cooktop is producing a burning smell

These boards use relays to send voltage to the surface element circuits, and a failing relay or damaged board can overheat or stop supplying power correctly. Next, check the surface element switch, especially if one burner is affected. You can switch same-size elements to help determine whether the element or switch is at fault, but a defective switch must be replaced. If two or more burners are not working, the surface element board may have a failed relay. For one burner, test the surface element for continuity before replacing the board. Also inspect the element receptacle and wire kit for burned contacts, melted insulation, or damaged element prongs. Replace both the receptacle and element when necessary.
