If your Jenn Air oven meat thermometer is not working, the meat probe is the most likely cause. The probe's resistance should change as its temperature changes; if a multimeter shows an open circuit, replace the probe. If the probe tests good, inspect the probe jack or receptacle for corrosion, damage, dirt, or a loose connection, since it must make clean contact with the probe. The oven control board monitors the food temperature through this connection, so a control board may be at fault when the probe and receptacle work properly but the display does not respond. On some Jenn Air ranges and ovens, the door must be closed to activate the door switch before the oven probe will function. Test the door switch for continuity while actuated and replace it if it fails. Less commonly, the oven control board may be defective. 01 - Jenn Air Range/Stove/Oven Meat Probe
The meat probe resistance changes with the temperature of the probe. If the probe shows an open circuit when tested with a multimeter, the probe is bad and will need to be replaced.

When the probe is plugged into the jack, the control board monitors the food temperature from the probe. If the temperature probe and jack are good but the control board is not responding, the control board is likely bad.
Some oven meat thermometers will not function properly unless the oven door is closed which activates a door switch to alert the control board that the door is closed. If the door switch is defective, the oven meat thermometer may not work. To determine if the switch is defective, use a multimeter to test it for electrical continuity when actuated. If the door switch does test appropriately for continuity, replace it.
The meat probe jack or receptacle needs to be clean and making good contact with the meat probe. If the receptacle appears corroded or damaged, the component should be replaced.
When the probe is plugged into the jack, the oven control board monitors the food temperature from the probe. If the temperature probe and jack are good but the control board is not responding, the control board is likely bad.
