If your Dynasty oven meat thermometer is not working, the meat probe is the most likely cause. The probe's resistance changes as its temperature changes, and an open circuit measured with a multimeter means the probe is defective and needs replacement. A faulty probe can cause an oven probe error or make the temp probe not work at all. If the probe tests good, inspect the Dynasty oven control board, which reads the probe's temperature through the probe jack. A defective door switch may also prevent the oven probe from working because some Dynasty ovens require the door to be closed before the meat thermometer operates. Test the switch for electrical continuity when actuated and replace it if it fails. Next, check the probe receptacle, also called the probe jack, for corrosion, damage, dirt, or poor contact. The receptacle should connect firmly with the probe. If these components test properly, the oven control board may be the problem. Always disconnect power before testing or replacing parts, and enter your Dynasty oven model number to find the exact replacement meat probe, receptacle, door switch, or control board for your appliance.
01 - Dynasty Range/Stove/Oven Meat Probe
The meat probe resistance changes with the temperature of the probe. If the probe shows an open circuit when tested with a multimeter, the probe is bad and will need to be replaced.

When the probe is plugged into the jack, the control board monitors the food temperature from the probe. If the temperature probe and jack are good but the control board is not responding, the control board is likely bad.
Some oven meat thermometers will not function properly unless the oven door is closed which activates a door switch to alert the control board that the door is closed. If the door switch is defective, the oven meat thermometer may not work. To determine if the switch is defective, use a multimeter to test it for electrical continuity when actuated. If the door switch does test appropriately for continuity, replace it.
The meat probe jack or receptacle needs to be clean and making good contact with the meat probe. If the receptacle appears corroded or damaged, the component should be replaced.
When the probe is plugged into the jack, the oven control board monitors the food temperature from the probe. If the temperature probe and jack are good but the control board is not responding, the control board is likely bad.
