If the lights on your Dynasty range vent hood are not working, the light assembly is the most likely cause, especially when the bulb is not sold separately for your model. If your Dynasty range vent hood uses a replaceable bulb, try installing a new light bulb first. A burned-out halogen lamp can cause the same problem, and because a failed lamp may look normal, test it for continuity with a multimeter or replace it. If a new bulb or halogen lamp does not restore the light, test the light socket for incoming power. Power at the socket with no light indicates a defective socket. Next, check the light switch and push button switch for continuity. Replace either switch if it does not show continuity when activated. Always disconnect power before servicing the range vent hood and use a properly rated replacement part. Enter your Dynasty range vent hood model number to find the exact light assembly, bulb, halogen lamp, light socket, light switch, or push button switch that fits your appliance.

If the vent hood light is burned out, replace it. Some manufacturers do not sell the light bulb as an individual part; instead, they require you to purchase the light assembly.

One or more of the halogen lamp bulbs may be burned out. Since it’s very difficult to visually determine if any of the halogen lamps have burned out, use a multimeter to test them for continuity. Alternatively, you can just try replacing the bulbs.
To determine if the light socket is defective, use a multimeter to test the incoming power to the socket. If the light socket has power, but the light bulb isn’t working, replace the light socket.
To determine if the light switch is defective, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the light switch does not have continuity, replace it.
To determine if the push button switch is defective, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the push button switch does not have continuity, replace it
