Crosley Washer won't stop

If your Crosley washer won't stop, the most likely cause is water siphoning from the tub. Check that the drain hose ends 30 to 36 inches above the floor, sits in an open standpipe or laundry tub, and is not sealed tightly or pushed too far down the drain. If the washer drains normally but the washer keeps running, a defective control board is the next likely cause. Inspect the control board for burn marks or a shorted component, though it cannot be tested easily. A failed main control board can produce the same symptom and may leave the washing machine stuck on a cycle. Less commonly, the timer may be defective. You can test the timer with a multimeter and the washer's wiring diagram, then replace it if it fails. These problems can cause a washer not stopping, a washing machine won't stop condition, or a washer stuck on wash. Before ordering a control board, main control board, or timer, enter your model number to find the exact replacement part for your specific Crosley washing machine.

01 - Water siphoning from tub

If the water is siphoning from the tub the outlet end of the drain hose is likely lower than the water level in the tub. The drain hose should terminate between 30 inches to 36 inches (77 centimeters to 92 centimeters) above the floor, depending on the model, in a standpipe or laundry tub. If the drain hose is sealed at the top of the standpipe or excess hose is pushed too far down into the pipe, siphoning can also occur.

02 - Crosley Washing Machine Control Board

If the washer can successfully drain the water from the tub then a defective control board could be responsible for the washer not stopping. The control board cannot be easily tested, but you can try to inspect it for signs of burning or a shorted-out component to help determine if the part should be replaced.

The main control board cannot be easily tested, but you can try to inspect it for signs of burning or a shorted-out component to help determine if the part should be replaced.

04 - Crosley Washing Machine Timer

If the washer can successfully drain the water from the tub then a defective timer could be responsible for the washer not stopping. You can test the timer by using a multimeter and consulting the wiring diagram. If the timer is defective, replace it.
