When your Electrolux washer won't spin, the problem is usually related to the suspension system, lid safety circuit, or drive components. On a top-load washer, broken or dislodged suspension rods can leave the tub unbalanced, causing the control board to stop the spin cycle repeatedly. Next, test the lid switch assembly with a multimeter for continuity, since a failed switch prevents spinning when the washer cannot confirm that the lid is closed. A broken motor coupling, which connects the drive motor to the transmission, can also cause a washer not spinning, especially after an overload or years of wear. Inspect the drive belt for damage or looseness, then make sure the door is fully closed and the door strike is intact. If these parts check out, a faulty control board may not be sending voltage to the drive motor. These checks apply whether you have a top load washer not spinning or another Electrolux washing machine not spinning. Enter your model number to find the exact replacement suspension rods, lid switch, motor coupling, drive belt, door strike, or control board for your specific washing machine.
01 - Electrolux Washing Machine Suspension Rod
A top-load washer tub is usually supported by four suspension rods. If one of the suspension rods becomes dislodged or breaks, the control board may stop the spin cycle several times to try to balance the clothes. Suspension rods will often come in a set of four and it is recommended to replace all four of the rods at the same time to reduce uneven wear.

02 - Electrolux Washing Machine Lid Switch Assembly
The lid switch assembly prevents the washer from spinning when the lid is open. If the lid switch assembly fails, the washer will not spin. To determine if the lid switch assembly is defective, use a multimeter to test the lid switch for continuity. If the lid switch does not have continuity, replace it.
The motor coupling connects the motor to the washing machine transmission. If the washer is overloaded, the motor coupling will fail in order to protect both the motor and transmission. The motor coupling can also fail due to normal wear. Inspect the motor coupling to determine if it is broken. If the motor coupling is broken, replace it.
Make sure the door is closed completely and remove any obstructions preventing the door from closing. Confirm the door strike on the door is not broken. If it is broken, you will need to replace the door strike.

06 - Electrolux Washing Machine Control Board
Since a washing machine control board provides voltage to nearly all of the washer's electrical components, a faulty board may not be sending power to the drive motor during the spin cycle. You can inspect the board for signs of burning or a shorted-out component. You can also use a multimeter to test the power output terminals on the board after reviewing the appliance's wiring diagram.
