Norge Washer has a burning smell

When your Norge washer has a burning smell, unplug it and stop using it until you identify the cause. A washing machine burning smell most often comes from a failing rotor and stator kit, especially if the stator coils are wet, shorted, smoking, or visibly burned. Next, inspect the main control board for burn marks caused by a power surge or failed component. If the electrical parts look normal, check the water pump belt for wear or slipping, and make sure the motor pulley and water pump turn freely.
