RCA Washer has a burning smell

If your RCA washer has a burning smell, unplug it and stop using it until you identify the source. A washer burning smell or washing machine burning smell most commonly comes from the rotor and stator kit in the direct-drive motor. Wet stator coils, shorted wiring, or visible smoke and burn marks can indicate a failed stator. Next, inspect the main control board, motor control board, and control board for scorch marks caused by a power surge or shorted component. If the odor smells like burning rubber, check the water pump belt and drive belt. A worn, frayed, or slipping belt creates friction on the pulleys, while a seized water pump or idler pulley can make the belt overheat.
