Furnace not heating

Control gas safely with this genuine OEM gas valve assembly, part number 74W26, built for select GE or Lennox Air Conditioner or Furnaces.

The gas valve opens to allow gas to flow into the burner. If the gas valve is defective, the valve will not open, preventing the furnace from heating. To determine if the gas valve is at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the gas valve does not have continuity, replace it.

Furnace is noisy or loud

The gas valve opens to allow gas to flow into the burner. If the gas valve is defective, it may not let the proper amount of gas into the burner causing delayed ignition. If the burners and burner orifices are clean but the burners are still noisy (and will not light correctly), then the gas valve may need to be replaced.
