Exchange heat with this genuine OEM heat exchanger, part number S1-02632225700, designed for select York, Coleman, or Luxaire Furnace.

A heat exchanger is used to transfer and separate the heat generated from the burners to the home's air supply. If the heat exchanger develops a crack or becomes clogged,  dangerous fumes can mix with the air being circulated throughout the home. For this reason, the furnace shoud be checked annually by a qualfied technician and carbon dioxide detectors should be placed in bedrooms and other frequently-used living areas.

On a gas furnace the heat exchanger keeps the spent gasses from entering the living or working areas of a home or business. If the heat exchanger is cracked the spent gases containing hazardous carbon monoxide can mix with the heated air causing serious health risk or even death. Although carbon monoxide itself does not have a smell the other fumes can produce a slight burnt or chemical smell.
