Turn lights on and off with this genuine OEM light switch, part number 0310323, designed for select Maytag or Montgomery Wards Range/Stove/Oven.

To determine if the light switch is defective, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the light switch does not have continuity, replace it. 

Oven light not turning off

The light switch sends power to the light. If the light switch is shorted the light will stay on. You can test the light switch for continuity with a multimeter. If the light switch shows continuity even in the off position, the switch is bad and will need to be replaced.
