Dryer Heating element. If the dryer does not heat check for a blown thermal fuse or thermal cut out. Heating elements will often have a break in the coil element if defective.

Dryer drum roller assembly. Includes the roller shaft and mounting clips. As the bearing in the roller wears, it self-lubricates so no grease is needed. If the dryer is noisy then one or more of the rollers may be worn. The rollers should be replaced in sets either both front or both rear.

Dryer drum drive belt. This slender belt wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. If the drum will not turn when the dryer is turned on the belt is likely broken.

Dryer thermistor. If the dryer displays a fault code the thermistor may be defective.

Dryer thermal fuse (also called the thermal limit). Located on the blower housing. The thermal fuse blows to cut off power to the dryer if the dryer overheats. If the thermal fuse has blown, the dryer won't start. The thermal fuse cannot be reset--if the fuse has blown, it must be replaced.

Dryer heating element assembly. If the dryer no longer heats then the heating element may have failed, but it is not the most common cause. The most common cause for a dryer to stop heating is a blown thermal fuse.

Dryer high-limit thermostat, L260-50F. If the dryer overheats, the high-limit thermostat cuts off power to the dryer. If the dryer won't heat, the high-limit thermostat might be defective.

Idler pulley spring

Dryer drum drive motor. If the dryer does not start, look for a defective door switch or thermal fuse. Also, if the motor cannot be turned by hand it has failed and will need to be replaced.
