Step-By-Step Instructions1
As with any repair, be sure to turn off the power to your dishwasher before beginning.
2
To make it easier to access the float, we recommend removing the outer door panel.
3
To do this, remove the screws from inside the door which secure the outer panel.
4
With the screws removed, pull the panel down then lift it up and out.
5
Now rotate the lower access panel fasteners counter-clockwise to remove then pull out the access panel and sound dampening pad.
6
Next, open the two float switch housing covers.
8
Now push the float stem to the right to detach it from the housing.
9
Open the dishwasher door and pull out the lower dish rack.
10
You can now lift out the old float.
11
Install the new float by inserting it through the bottom of the tank making sure the stem is aligned with the float switch housing.
12
Slide in the lower dish rack and close the dishwasher door.
13
Reposition the actuator and snap the housing covers shut.
14
Reposition the lower access panel and sound dampening pad then secure the panel with the fasteners.
15
Reinstall the outer door panel by first aligning it on the door hinges then slide the panel up and reinstall the screws in the inner panel to secure.
16
You’re now ready to restore power to the dishwasher and confirm that it’s working properly.
