Leaf Blower Air Filter Base Replacement

Tools Needed

You will need a T-20 Torx bit for this procedure.

Make sure the engine has cooled.

Remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Lift the tab to detach the air filter cover.

Use a T-20 Torx bit to unthread the two mounting screws securing the filter base and carburetor.

Detach the old filter base from the carburetor.

Prepare the new air filter base for installation by transferring the choke lever and choke plate from the old base to the new one.

Insert the mounting screws then align the filter base with the carburetor.

"Confirm the insulator gasket is in place, then align the assembly and thread the screws."

"Align the air filter gasket on the new filter base, then realign the cover and snap it into place."

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug.
