Laundry Center Dryer Drum Glide Replacement

"Step 1: Gather a number two square drive bit, a phillips-head screwdriver, and a small flat-head screwdriver. "

Step 2: Unplug the power cord.

Step 3: Use the number two square drive bit or the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the two screws securing the dryer's lower access panel.

Step 4: Pull the panel up to remove.

Step 5: Unthread the two mounting screws securing the control panel.

Step 6: Pull the panel down to detach.

Step 7: Release the wires from the retaining clip and move the panel out of the way.

Step 8: Disconnect the dryer door switch wire connecter.

Step 9: Unthread the upper left screw securing the inner access panel which will make it easier to fully remove the front panel and lint filter duct assembly.

Step 10: Use the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the two lower screws securing the front panel.

Step 11: Unthread the four upper screws along the top of the cabinet.

"Step 12: With all the screws unthreaded, fully remove the front panel and lint filter assembly. "

Step 13: Use the small flat-head screwdriver to help pry off the old drum glide if still intact.

"Step 14: To install the new drum glide, align it on the drum rim and snap the tabs into the slots. "

Step 15: Reinstall the front panel by positioning the lower portion of the lint filter duct behind the inner access panel as you align the front panel mounting pins with the holes in the cabinet frame.

Step 16: Rethread the four upper screws- it will be easier to replace the two middle screws first.

Step 17: Rethread the two lower screws.

Step 18: Rethread the upper left screw to fully secure the inner access panel.

Step 19: Recconect the door switch wire connecter.

Step 20: Secure the control panel wires in the retaining clip then reposition the panel.

Step 21: Replace the mounting screws.

Step 22: Realign the access panel and secure it with the screws.

Step 23: Plug the power cord back in.
