To replace the spark igniter on this a.o. smith gas water heater…

… first disconnect the spark wire from the spark igniter wire.
3
You can now push the old spark igniter back toward the tank to remove.
4
To install the new spark igniter…

… align the bracket on the gas valve and push forward to snap it into place.
6
Attach the spark wire.
7
The water heater should now be ready for use.
