To replace the door switch on this samsung refrigerator…

… you will need a phillips-head screwdriver and a small flat-head screwdriver.

Before you begin the procedure, unplug the appliance’s power cord.

Open the left-side refrigerator door…

… and use the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the screw securing the sensor and switch access cover.

Remove the cover.

Depress the tab to remove the switch cover…

… then detach the switch wires.

Use the small flat-head screwdriver to depress the tabs to release the old door switch from the housing.

To install the new door switch…

… align it in the housing with the terminals facing away from the door hinge and snap the switch into place.

Connect the wires to the terminals.

Replace the switch cover.

Realign the tabs on the access cover, lower the cover…

… and thread the screw to secure.

Plug the power cord back in…

… and the refrigerator should be ready for use.
