Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, you should unplug the appliance before beginning.

To replace the snubber ring on your washer, you should first secure the lid with tape.

Now insert a putty knife under the main top to release the two spring clips.

Lift up the main top and support it.

Next, remove the mounting screws at the bottom of the front panel.

Push the panel down and pull it away from the frame.

Note the position of the vertical spring then pull the tub forward and disconnect both the vertical and horizontal springs.

Use a two-by-four to lift the tri-base then use a coat hanger or a sturdy wire with a hook to pull the old snubber ring free.

Continue to support the tri-base as you wipe any residue or debris from the washer base. You’re now ready to install the new snubber ring.

Make sure the arrow on the ring is pointing upward and position the ring under the tri-base.

Lower the tri-base and remove the two-by-four.

Reinstall both the horizontal and vertical springs.

Replace the front panel by aligning the tabs on the panel with the slots in the frame then lift the panel up.

Replace the mounting screws to secure.

Remove the support lower the main top and snap it into place.

Then remove the tape securing the lid.

You’re now ready to plug the power cord back in and confirm that the washer is functioning properly.
