Small engine primer bulb. The primer bulb draws additional fuel into the carburetor to help start the engine.

Husqvarna fuel filter. If the fuel filter is clogged, it will restrict the flow of fuel to the carburetor. As a result, the engine may not start.

Fuel Tank Kit

Fuel line kit. Both large & small diameter fuel lines included. The fuel line allows fuel to travel from the fuel tank to the carburetor and from the primer bulb to the fuel system. If the fuel line is leaking, replace it.

Primer bulb (or purge bulb) assembly. The primer bulb draws fuel into the carburetor to make the engine easier to start. The short port on the primer bulb is the inlet. The longer port is the outlet back to the fuel tank.

Husqvarna string trimmers are built for reliability, but carburetors, primer bulbs, and fuel lines are the most common repairs — especially after winter storage or using old fuel. When your Husqvarna won't start, runs rough, or loses power, the carburetor is almost always the culprit. Ethanol in fuel gums up the float needle and jets, choking the engine before it gets going.
We carry OEM Husqvarna carburetor kits, fuel line assemblies, and primer bulbs to get your trimmer cutting again. Enter your model number to find the exact parts for your machine.
A clogged carburetor from ethanol fuel is the #1 culprit. Fuel left in the tank over winter or for more than 30 days breaks down, gumming up the carburetor's tiny jets and the float needle. A carburetor rebuild kit often fixes the problem without needing a full replacement. If the primer bulb is cracked or won't draw fuel, replace it — it's a $5 to $10 part. Always drain old fuel and run the trimmer dry before long storage, or mix fresh fuel with fuel stabilizer.
The model number is stamped or labeled on the shaft, near the engine block, or on the clutch housing. Common Husqvarna models include 115iL, 128LD, and 525LS. Write down the full model number and any serial number before ordering parts — Husqvarna's part compatibility can vary significantly between model generations. Use our model number lookup to confirm you're getting the exact carburetor, spark plug, and fuel line for your trimmer.
OEM Husqvarna trimmer heads and spools are always the better choice — they're engineered for your machine's drive shaft diameter and bearing tolerances. Universal aftermarket heads often have fitment issues, cause wobbling, or fail to feed line correctly. If your head is cracked or won't bump-feed line, order the OEM replacement for your model. Trimmer line diameter also matters — check your manual for the correct.095" or other size your head requires.
Check these in order: (1) Clean or replace the air filter — a clogged filter starves the engine of oxygen. (2) Check the spark plug — a fouled or gapped plug cuts ignition. (3) Inspect the fuel line for cracks or blockage. (4) If fuel line looks good, the carburetor is likely running too lean — a rebuild kit or full carburetor replacement is needed. OEM Husqvarna carburetors are priced competitively and come pre-tuned for your model.
