Does your Stihl chainsaw, string trimmer, or pressure washer engine have trouble starting? Does it start, but then stalls only a few seconds later? The cause could be a clogged carburetor. The residue from old fuel being left in the tank can create a restriction in the carburetor. You can disassemble the carburetor and attempt to clean out the ports with WD-40 or a dedicated carburetor cleaner to eliminate the clog, but you may need to replace the carburetor altogether. Repair Clinic stocks the specific carburetor that matches your equipment’s engine, as well as carburetor components like primer bulbs, gaskets, diaphragms, and choke levers. All you have to do is enter the full model number of your Stihl product, or the product’s engine, into Repair Clinic’s search bar, then select “Carburetor” from the part category followed by the appropriate part title to identify the part you need.
