My department at work volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore last week, and a newer LG dryer caught my eye. It was priced at $10 "as-is" because it didn't turn or heat. I figured for $10 plus the cost of some parts and a little of my time, it was worth the risk. I picked up the dryer over the weekend, and after I took it apart, I could see the belt was frayed. I ordered a new one from RepairClinic.com, along with a few other relatively inexpensive parts, just in case the belt wasn't the only issue. I ordered the parts on Monday, and they were delivered by FedEx on Wednesday. Thursday after work, with the help of some of repairclinic.com's YouTube video tutorials, I replaced the drive belt along with the thermostat and thermal fuse while my kids were watching TV. When I pressed the start button: Voila! The drum turned! So for less than $50 and about an hour of my time, I now have a fully-functional LG dryer! I couldn't be happier! Thank you, RepairClinic!!
