Microwave shuts off after a few seconds

Keep air moving with this genuine OEM fan motor, part number 8206075, designed for select Whirlpool, Kenmore, or KitchenAid Microwaves.

The Fan motor keeps the magnetron cool when the microwave is running. If the fan motor stops running the magnetron tube will overheat tripping the high limit thermostat, causing the microwave to shut off. If the fan is getting power but not running properly it will need to be replaced.

Microwave is loud or noisy

The fan motor bearings can wear out causing a rumbling or squealing noise. If the fan motor is making noise when its running it will need to be replaced.
