Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the oil dipstick seal first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Remove the dipstick from the tube.

Now unthread the mounting bolt to release the tube from the crankcase.

Be prepared for some oil to spill.

If still intact, slide off the old dipstick seal.
7
Install the new dipstick seal by sliding it onto the tube port.
8
Apply some oil to the seal then align the dipstick tube with the port and push it firmly into place.
9
Secure it with the mounting bolt.

Replace the dipstick and reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug.
