Before you replace a surface burner base on your range first make sure the stovetop is cool.

Lift off the grate remove the burner cap and lift off the old burner base.
3
Install the new surface burner base by aligning the tab in the base with the notch in the main top.
4
Replace the cap and reposition the grate making sure the bend in the frame faces the companion grate.
