To replace the starter handle on your edger pull the handle and rope away from the rope guide and use a spring clamp to secure it.

Now pull the end of the rope out of the handle and untie the knot.
3
Slide off the old handle.
4
Install the new starter handle by inserting the rope through it.
5
Retie a knot at the end of the rope and secure the knot in the handle.
6
Remove the clamp and seat the new handle on the guide.
