Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the door hinge on your washer, be sure to unplug the power cord.

Open the washer door and support it as you use a number two square bit or a Phillips head screwdriver to unthread the four screws securing the door to the hinge.

Set the door aside.

Next, unthread the screws securing the hinge to the frame.

With the screws unthreaded, use needle-nose pliers to help remove the outer boot seal retainer.

Remove the boot seal from the lip of the front panel.

Reach behind the frame and detach the wire connector cover from the hinge plate and wire connector.

Now, use a small flat-head screwdriver to help pull back the hinge plate holding the plate.

Rotate the old hinge and pull it out.

Install the new door hinge by depressing the plate and inserting the hinge into the hole in the frame.

Attach the cover to the hinge plate and secure the spare door latch wire connector in the cover.

Thread and tighten the screws to secure the hinge.

Now, realign the boot seal on the lip of the front panel.

Secure the boot to the panel with the outer boot retainer.

Align the washer door on the new hinge, then thread and tighten the screws.

With the repair completed, plug the power cord back in and your washer should be ready for use.
