Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the inner door glass on your washer be sure to unplug the power cord.

Open the washer door and support it as you use a number two square bit or a phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the four screws securing the door to the hinge.

Detach the door and set it on a towel or blanket.

Now unthread the mounting screws securing the door strike.

Remove the strike.

Next, remove the two screws securing the door strike cover.

Use a small flat-head screwdriver to help pry the cover off.

Now unthread the screws securing the top and bottom glass supports.

Pry the supports off.

Lift out the old inner door glass.

Install the new inner door glass by aligning the indicator tabs with the door frame.

Replace both glass supports and thread the screws to secure.

Realign the door strike cover on the door frame and snap it into place.

Secure it with the screws.

Realign the door strike then thread the mounting screws to secure.

Realign the washer door on the hinge then thread and tighten the screws.

With the repair completed plug the power cord back in and your washer should be ready for use.
