Before you replace the control board in your washer…

…be sure to unplug the power cord.
7
Use a quarter-inch socket or nut driver to unthread the rear screws securing the top panel.

Slide the top panel back and lift up to detach.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry back the release tab then pull the control board housing back to detach it from the side panel – this may require some effort.

Release the control board wires from the retaining clips.

Pull open the side cover.

Note the orientation of the wire connecters…

…then disconnect them from the board.

Next, release the top cover.

Note the orientation of the wire connecters…

…then disconnect them.

Install the new control board…

…by first connecting the wire connecters to the appropriate terminals on top.

With the wires in place, snap the top cover closed.

Next, connect the remaining wire connecters to the appropriate terminals…

…and close the side cover.

Secure the wires in the retaining clips.

Align the control board housing tabs with the slots in the side panel and push the housing forward to lock it into place.

Realign the top panel and slide it into position.

Replace the screws in the rear.

With the repair completed…

…plug the power cord back in…

…and your washer should be ready for use.
