Before you begin the repair, make sure the mower’s engine has cooled and remove the wire and boot from the spark plug.

Your first step is to lift up the mower and support it with a sturdy object.

Next, use an appropriate-sized socket to remove the mounting bolt securing the wheel you wish to replace and pull the old wheel off. You’re now ready to install the new wheel.

Slide the wheel onto the axel and align the gears.

Reinstall the bolt and tighten.

Make sure the wheel turns freely.

Remove the support and reattach the spark plug wire and boot.
