Gas Range Broil Burner Tube Replacement

Tools needed: 5/16th inch nut driver, Phillips-head screwdriver

Be sure to unplug the power cord or shut off the power supply.

Shut off the gas supply as well.

Open the upper oven door and remove the rack.

Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the front screw securing the broil burner tube.

Unthread the two wing nuts securing the burner tube shield and detach the shield.

Use a 5/16th inch nut driver to unthread the two mounting screws securing the igniter to the tube.

Gently detach the igniter and you can remove the old tube.

Install the new broil burner tube by aligning the igniter, then thread the mounting screws to secure it.

Align the shield and thread the two wing nuts.

Fully position the new burner tube on the orifice and thread the front screw to secure.

Replace the oven rack.

Turn the gas supply back on, plug the power cord back in or restore the power supply and the gas range should be ready for use.
